We can all agree that 2020 hasn’t been what we expected. Covid 19 has come with many readjustments to not only our daily lives, but business operations as well. We express our deepest gratitude for your patience and support during these unprecedented times. We, at the Museum have had a fun time finding ways to stay engaged with the community and provide resources for children. We created a Virtual Art Studio Page, a Fun Stuff to DO and See Page on our website. We have also had two successful Drive Thru Book Fairs where we gave over 400 books away. Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month.. National Taco Day! Did you know today is National Taco Day? I can’t wait to celebrate today with some homemade tacos. Growing up in a Hispanic American household I realize now that my version of tacos growing up is much different from other households. My family, having been here in the States for over a century, have become quite Americanized. Tacos in my house are made of hamburger or chicken wrapped with a crunchy shell topped with lettuce and tomato. Past my childhood experience I found out besides the popular chain restaurants, most tacos sold here in town are made with soft shells.
